The Foundation Manager of Corporate Philanthropy and Grants is responsible for identifying,
cultivating, and soliciting major gift donors, including individuals, corporations, and
foundations. This position will implement and oversee a comprehensive Corporate Philanthropy
Partners program and ensure the timely submission of grant proposals and reports. Building
collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders is a priority, as is
effective utilization of prospect management databases.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’sdegree/Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulativejob specific experience required. 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gift donors, including individuals, corporations, and
foundations.
- Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with development colleagues and boardmembers to maximize philanthropy revenue.
- Utilize institutional resources and databases to ensure appropriate management of donors, prospects,and volunteers in coordination with the organization’s objectives.
- Conduct research to identify prospects, with an emphasis on major gifts, and creates strategies tomatch prospects’ interests to the fundraising priorities.
- Write, review, and prepare communication materials in support of fundraising activities.
- Collaborate on the creation of all stewardship/recognition initiatives including the philanthropyreports.
- Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
