My client is currently looking for a Founding Engineer to join the exciting and dynamic team!
We are a venture-backed stealth startup focused on revolutionizing the Platform as a Service (PaaS) landscape. Our aim is to create an innovative API-first PaaS tailored for AI/ML applications. Our goal is to empower developers, data scientists, and organizations to effortlessly develop and deploy AI applications.
We provide a comprehensive suite of resources, including computing orchestration, storage, GPU support, pre-made components, training tools, and performance optimization solutions.
Our backend primarily utilizes Python and Go, with opportunities for developers proficient in languages like Rust.
If you’re seeking to delve into deep tech, AI, and consumer-facing products, we offer an exciting environment where you’ll gain insights into web application development, operating systems, machine learning frameworks, and large-scale AI models. Join us as we embark on this transformative journey!

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
• 3-6 years of experience
• In the absence of a degree, we also consider candidates with proven proficiency in backend programming, especially in Python and Go, and contribution to open source projects

EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING IS A PLUS:

• Experience with Docker, containerization, virtualization, and/or microservice architecture.
• Proficiency in designing distributed, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems.
• Familiarity with public clouds such as AWS. Utilization of automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Knowledge of Postgres or RDBMS databases. Skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of machine learning pipelines. Expertise in Linux, Linux-Kernel, drivers, and performance tuning

• Collaborate on developing the orchestration backend platform utilizing Terraform, Python, and Ansible to streamline operations.
• Spearhead backend initiatives focused on scheduling, training, and hosting models for inference tasks.
• Engage closely with design partners to gather requirements and integrate feedback into our software solutions.
• Drive automation efforts for managing bare-metal servers, enhancing efficiency and scalability.
• Contribute to adjacent open-source projects, particularly in automation, security, and networking realms, including but not limited to OpenTelemetry, Terraform, Docker, LXC, and WireGuard.
