Leading the FP&A function for the Asia-Pacific region, the primary focus of this role is to ensure accurate, timely and consistent provision of financial information to support the business and stakeholders in management decision making, as well as adhering to all corporate reporting, forecasting and accounting requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 12-15 years of experience within in a regional FP&A department with hands on involvement with the strategic planning and budgeting process
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and develop associates
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and quantitative analysis skills required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong financial system experience
  • Experience in a healthcare industry preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills

Responsibilities:

1) Reporting

  • Developing robust, clear and consistent reports with a strong emphasis on variance analysis.
  • Work closely with the key stakeholders of the APAC business and the reporting teams
  • The production of these reports should become systematic and an integral part of business management information.
  • The objective will be to develop reports which can be easily interpreted by both financial and non-financial management

2) Forecasting and Planning

  • Partnering with regional managers to support delivery and execution of region’s/country plan.
  • Coordination and analysis of regional/country key projects and initiatives.
  • Coordination and analysis of annual Strategic Plan.
  • Oversee the development of annual budgets and ensure alignment with the strategic plan
  • Develop best practices for the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial forecasts, proper identification of risk & opportunities covering revenues, operating & capital expenditures and cash flows.
  • Review the FP&A function on a continuous basis with a view to improving systems and process to meet current and future reporting needs.
  • There will be strong emphasis on the accuracy of the forecasts

3) Modelling and Analysis

  • The role will also involve some project and ad-hoc work including modelling and analysis on historical data from various sources.
  • Assist in preparation of investment proposals for capital projections, new products and other strategic investment proposals for approval by Senior Leadership teams.
  • Monitoring of ongoing performance of approved capital, new product and key product programs to investment models/forecasted projects.

4) Leadership/Other

  • To provide leadership to the FPA& team members in Asia Pacific.
  • Manage workflow within the FP&A function
  • To provide goals and development plans for the FP&A staff.
  • Provide direct feedback to Global Finance on state of the business
  • Comply with global policies and procedures
