You will work as a member of the hardware development team in our Optics R&D Center on the Air Campus in Nuremberg. We are currently looking for highly motivated professionals to join our team, who possess a solid understanding of electronic engineering, to shape the future of optical data transmission. As a FPGA designer you will be part of the hardware development team in Nuremberg, embedded in a worldwide Optical Research and Development organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Master degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering
  • +4 years of demonstrated experience in deep sub-micron FPGA design
  • Solid skills in VHDL\Verilog development and FPGA or ASIC verification
  • Few years of experience in HW development
  • Experience in advanced verification techniques and Hardware lab tools and environment
  • Proficiency in EDA Tool Chain (Simulation, Synthesis, FPGA P&R)
  • Strong team work and communication
  • Ability to work independently and self-organized
  • English (mandatory) and German fluently spoken and written
  • Microsoft Office

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop hardware applications from conception to testing
  • Contribute to system architecture investigations, board feasibility studies in close collaboration with system engineering, system test and board development teams.
  • Develop state of the art electronic devices for Optical communication
  • Design of FPGA devices for processing of optical signals
  • Design of programmable logic devices for supporting board functions.
  • FPGA verification and emulation, using industry-leading methodologies and EDA tools.
  • Work in multi-site international development team
  • Work as independent contributor in development and verification of latest technology FPGAs
  • Work with experts of different areas to ensure the most competitive solutions
  • Cooperate with system engineers, HW/SW development, suppliers and other relevant functions to solve technical issues
  • Lead HW/SW bring-up and debug
