Our client is an industry leader within energy and metals commodities industry. They are currently looking for a Freight Operator to work closely in a team to support the team in Singapore and APAC.

about the job

• Liaise with chartering team to ensure smooth and efficient vessel/cargo operations
• Handle daily operation of assigned vessels
• Calculate and arrange charter hire, sea freights, port disbursement, payments
• Analyse risk management data
• Handle day-to-day fleet operational activities
• Liaise closely with shipowners, cargo owners, brokers, stakeholders
• Monitor vessel schedules

• Work closely with APAC office
• Report to senior manager and director of chartering
• Performance bonus in 2 tranches

skills and experience required

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Business
• 3+ years experience in dry bulk shipping with exposure to cargo operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Engage with Chinese stakeholders
• Excellent PC skills
• Proactive and independent
