CCSC seeks a solutions-oriented individual that can thrive in an environment where working collaboratively with several different teams in addition to directly supporting students and families is commonplace in a typical workday. This is a 12-month position, with time off during all school vacations as well as 3 weeks of summer vacation (over seven total weeks of vacation annually). In addition, the person will be required to fulfill other regular duties and commitments required of CCSC staff. This position starts July 1, 2024.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Greet students and community members, checking in visitors and informing appropriate school personnelAnswer a multi line telephone and transfer calls to relevant personnel, taking messages as necessaryCheck and track daily attendance and speak to families with attendance questions and concerns Monitor internal surveillance cameras, elevate concerns as necessary to administrators, and operate door systemsCollect various payments and forms Handle schools mailing needsAssist various school administrators with clerical tasks, as assigned, including the management of testing materials, graduation preparation, and translation projects Work with a diverse student body from Cambridge, Boston, and surrounding citiesPromote a school-wide culture of respect using the principles of restorative justice Participate in myriad forms of professional development as scheduled for all staffQualifications: General computer competence and skills required, including proficiency in Gmail, Google Docs and SheetsExcellent communication skillsFluency in a language other than English (preferred)Capacity to learn how to operate PowerSchool and other school-specific data systems Experience working in a school environment and/or with youth directly is preferredAbility to collaborate closely with colleagues, work independently, and juggle daily tasks with projects that have short- and long-term deadlines Compensation: $53k-$58k, depending on experience and expertiseHow to ApplySend a cover letter and resume to Toni-Ann P.
