Job Summary
Island Realty’s Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and first impression management for all guests, owners and vendors entering the front lobby while checking guests in and out, assisting with booking concierge packages and add-ons, providing information about area attractions, directions, and services, and managing all guest and owner walk-ins.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet all visitors in a cheerful and professional manner
  • Deliver impeccable service to all Island Realty customers including current guests, potential guests, property owners, and vendors
  • Assist with check-in and check-out procedure as needed
  • Answer telephone calls, texts, and emails promptly
  • Arrange for the after-hours arrival packet pick-up, including lockbox assignment and notifying guests of procedure
  • Post, process, and record accurately all necessary payments and reconcile cash drawer at the end of the day
  • Maintain impeccable front office standard appearance to include restocking, watering plants, replenishing vendor information, beverage stations, etc.
  • Work with guests to extend their stay where opportunities are available
  • Contact incoming guests to offer concierge services and sell add-ons
  • Communicate with guests in stay regarding events and services available
  • Provide concierge services and recommendations based on contracted Island Realty vendors and general knowledge of the area including restaurants, entertainment, and directions
  • Cooperate with all other departments in order to answer queries and resolve customer issues
  • Manage and maintain presentation of vendor marketing materials at the front desk and lobby including the rack-card display, coffee table, and slideshow
  • Follow-up after guest experience, activity, tour, meal, or service to collect feedback and to report monthly
  • Update Marquee Messages in keeping with marketing priorities including bringing attention to sales, vendors, events, and more
  • Complete general office duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications-Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Professional customer service nature with a desire to exceed expectations
  • Must be able to communicate (written and oral) with friendly and pleasant tone
  • Must be a self-starter who can see a project/issue/problem through to completion and follow up as needed
  • Possess a positive, upbeat attitude at all times
  • Accurate knowledge of the Charleston area and ability to give directions to and around: Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island, downtown Charleston, and the greater Charleston area
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and database management systems

Minimum Qualifications-Education and Experience

  • 2 years customer service experience preferred
  • Hospitality, front desk or concierge experience would helpful but not required

Work Schedule

  • 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM/9:00 AM to 5:30 PM 4 weekdays + 1 weekend day/week
