At Casculate we aim to revolutionize the manufacturing industry by providing AI-based real time pricing calculations in a convenient web app.
We are a rapidly growing startup striving for excellence from training ML-models to delivering the best user experience! We are currently looking for a frontend developer to become part of our core team and shape the future of the company!
## Working at Casculate
Our team is small, fast, young, diverse and dynamic. You will take responsibility from the first day and play a central role in designing and implementing the most important parts of our technology.
Success is measured by delivering features not by hours spent at a desk. You know best when, how and where you do your best work: from home, your favorite café or at the beach. Our working culture is fully remote and trust-based. (As of now you need to be based in Germany. Legal reasons, sorry!) We also have an office in Kaiserslautern and meet every 1.5 to 2 month face to face.

Tasks

• You will be our main frontend developer, taking ownership of the web app and user experience. Your job is to present the AI insights to our users in an appealing and performant way. This mid-level to senior role also includes that you will design new features, define work packages and do code reviews for junior devs.
• You are able to take on the users’ perspective and constantly strive to fine-tune UI and UX. Bonus points for design experience.
• Clean and simple code are your default, not an afterthought. You make your colleagues life easier with reusable and well-documented components. You trust your own code because of rigorous unit tests.
• You know how to work independently but are also able to see the big picture. You bring order into chaos by planning before doing and thus create structure and processes for your work and the work of your peers. You will make architectural decisions that lay the foundation of our codebase for the years to come.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a frontend developer or in similar roles
• Strong knowledge in modern frontend development with Typescript, React, and Fullstack Development with NextJS
• Good understanding of REST API development
• Bonus points for experience in ThreeJS and creating mockups/prototypes e.g. with Figma or Adobe XD
• Familiarity with version control (git)
• Bonus points for experience with agile software development.
• Passion for clean code, best practices, and continuous improvement
• Team player with good communication skills
• Located in Germany
