We have an exciting opportunity for a Front Office Manager to join the senior management team of our client, a well-established company based in Dublin.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Revenue and Operations Manager, the Front Office Manager will be responsible for supervising the commercial reception and accommodation operations, supporting the Commercial Revenue Manager in recruitment and training, room revenue, reservations and group bookings and preparing reports.
The ideal candidate will have a tourism or hotel industry qualification and at least 2 years’ experience within tourism, hospitality, front office or reservations. You must have an understanding of Irish tourism, in particular the various segments of the Dublin tourism market, be strategic and commercially astute and be familiar with setting targets and objectives.
You must also have excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills-both written and verbal, with good report writing skills.
Ideally, you will have the ability to use multi-channel platforms to attract new customers, and experience of different booking engines and property management systems. You must have a customer-centred approach and be detail oriented and highly motivated with excellent people management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Commercial Revenue Manager in recruiting and training team members, particularly seasonal staff.
- Supervising the commercial reception and accommodation operations including liaising with other company service departments.
- Supporting in the management of revenue and rate control to ensure budget targets are being met.
- Maximising income from the utilisation of accommodation facilities and analysing the business model in comparison to competitors, including pricing, business levels and available facilities.
- Analysing data and trends to make improvements.
- Ensuring best practice customer service.
- Inputting individual and group bookings and updating availability on all channels.
- Other duties as assigned by the Commercial Revenue and Operations Manager.
