The Front Desk Specialist performs clerical and reception functions for the Opioid Triage Center Front Office.
Shift: 7:30am-3:30pm
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to multitask in a high-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and compassionate when working with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with other professionals and maintain appropriate boundaries.
- Sensitivity to diversity issues and a commitment to cultural competency.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Portuguese) preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Answer telephone lines and check messages
- Check-in and Check-out Patients Accurately and Timely
- Open Batch and Enter Transactions, Collect Co-pays
- Check and Run Insurances and Change PCP (Read and Write Chart Notes)
- Verify Demographic Information at Check-in (Phone, Address, PCP)
- Understanding of Alerts -How to read, enter and remove
- Knowledge of Sliding Fee, Waiver form, release of records, and other forms
- Adding Insurance Cards and Picture to Patient Chart.
- Responsible for informing and registering patients for patient portal.
- Obtain all appropriate signatures for patient forms.
