As a Frontend Software Engineer you will play a pivotal role in developing user interfaces for software tailored to nuclear medicine physicians, empowering them to diagnose heart patients with precision.

MedTrace is looking for a Frontend Engineer to strengthen the frontend competencies to establish a permanent and resilient software development organization. You will be responsible for implementing the web solution’s design, developing a responsive UI and using WebSocket communication towards the backend.
You will be part of an IT development team consisting of Java developers, MATLAB developers, frontend developers, an infrastructure team (CI/CD), and an architect. The team is located in Denmark and Spain so therefore you will frequently join meetings using Teams during normal working hours.
You and the team are responsible for designing, estimating, documenting, developing, and testing solutions of medical device software. The team is also responsible for managing software installations and support at the hospitals.
You will cooperate closely with Java and MATLAB backend developers building the message interfaces between the UI and the backend. You will be part of the whole lifecycle chain of the development IT process from design to installation of the software in production.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• You have some frontend or full-stack software development experience (full or part-time).
• At least one of the following is true of you:
• You have earned a master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or similar within the past 5 years.
• You have been actively working as a frontend or full-stack developer for 5 years.
• You live in the greater Copenhagen area.
• You speak, read, and write English.

BONUS IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH:

• Experience developing software as a medical device.
• Experience with TypeScript, HTML, CSS, 3D rendering.
• Knowledge of WebSocket, Web components (incl. Lit library), React or other frontend frameworks.
