Description:

Applications are invited for Clinical Fellow posts in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with an expected start date of 7 th August 2024. These are fixed term posts for 1 year. The posts are based in University Hospital of Wales (UHW) and University Hospital Llandough (UHL) sites. This post offers an excellent opportunity for gaining a broad experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in a busy teaching hospital. The posts are full time and we are supportive of less than fulltime working if required
The post holder will participate in 1:10 on call rota (1st on call, EWTD compliant). They have an opportunity to participate in weekly teaching programme, audit and research activities within the department in addition to providing clinical care.

The post-holder will play a significant part in delivery of direct clinical care to Obstetrics and Gynaecology patients, working on the junior rota. This will include ward work, clinics, operation theatres, labour ward and participation in emergency assessment of obstetric and gynaecology patients as required. They take part and contribute to weekly teaching programme, audit and research activities within the department in addition to providing clinical care. The post-holder will be a good communicator, compassionate and focussed on patient safety. They work within a multidisciplinary team to promote excellent patient care and work effectively with other members of staff (medical, nursing and midwifery).
