Description:

A client of ours is in search of a proficient Bookkeeper to join their Engineering team in The Woodlands, Texas. This role will involve a range of duties including heavy reconciliation, bookkeeping, and managing accounts receivables and accounts payables. The selected candidate will also be expected to post payments and be open to taking on additional responsibilities as required. This role is expected to either contract or contract to hire depending on ongoing company needs and the performance of the candidate. This role is requiring experience in NetSuite and highly prefer experience in QuickBooks as well. Please apply today for consideration!

Responsibilities

  • Conduct extensive reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial records
  • Manage comprehensive bookkeeping tasks to maintain organized financial information
  • Utilize NetSuite for various accounting tasks, as the team has recently transitioned to this platform
  • Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Post payments regularly to keep the financial system updated
  • Be prepared to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team
  • Use Microsoft Excel for various data management and financial analysis tasks
  • Handle accounts payable tasks to ensure timely payments to vendors and service providers
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the company’s records match the bank statements
  • Manage billing functions, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field a plus.
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, preferably in the engineering industry.
Proficiency in NetSuite and QuickBooks accounting software.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workload.
