Job Description:
Company Summary
Agronomix Software, a leading software development company for plant breeding and agronomy, has an immediate full-time permanent opening for a full-stack software developer. Expected start date would be April 1st, 2024, or soon thereafter. You will be part of a team of IT professionals located in Winnipeg, MB, who support and develop Genovix®. Our software is used over 40 countries worldwide by plant breeders and agronomists at seed companies, universities, and government research centres. This position is open only to residents of Canada legally permitted to work in Canada.
Duties and Responsibilities
As part of the company’s growing software development team, the successful candidate will assist in the on-going development of Genovix. You will also assist in software testing and quality assurance as part of product development.

Skills and Qualifications

• The ideal candidate is currently legally living and working in Canada (overseas candidates cannot be considered)
• Proven proficiencies in T-SQL:
• Writing efficient queries, views, indexes, stored procedures, and functions.
• Dynamic SQL.
• Database and query performance and optimization tuning.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent in training and experience.
• Experience with Agile development methodology.
• Knowledge and experience of Azure DevOps (ADO) would be an asset.
• Experience in developing business-calibre applications within the .NET framework would be an asset.
• Experience with APIs and or Unit Test an asset.
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability and desire to learn and be challenged.
• Strong relational and interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge and experience of .NET Core would be an asset.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, in English.
