We are excited to invite applicants to join our Direct Commerce applications group as a Full Stack Developer supporting our Hill’s Pet Nutrition business!
Our agile, forward-thinking development team partners with our business teams to implement and scale exceptional user experiences. You will help leverage the latest technologies to fulfill business requirements and provide engaging experiences to people who use our brands. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated and can work well both independently and within an agile team to solve problems, improve processes and drive innovation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years developing production eCommerce websites
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Solid foundation in JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Experience with the following:
  • Web frameworks like Vue/Nuxt, React/Next or Angular
  • Node.js and server frameworks such as Express or Sails
  • GraphQL/Apollo & REST API development
  • SQL/NoSQL database modeling and administration
  • Cloud computing (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Test-driven development, continuous integration and deployment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • eCommerce frameworks such as Magento and Shopify
  • Google Cloud Platform services
  • Containerized development (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Microservices
  • Serverless functions
  • Python or PHP
  • UI/UX concepts
  • Agile/SCRUM
  • Jira/Trello
  • Cyber security best practices
  • Data privacy (CCPA, GDPR, PCI)

Responsibilities:

  • Create eCommerce web applications
  • Develop great UIs that users will love and appreciate
  • Configure and customize eCommerce software to meet business requirements
  • Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies
  • Scale existing solutions to new brands / geographies
  • Work closely with internal teams and key external partners to ensure new developments align with roadmaps and integrate with other platform components
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met
  • Support ongoing developments for existing projects/applications
