Description:
FULL STACK DEVELOPER – IOT
Looking for an opportunity to work on connected devices offering remote sensor monitoring and big data opportunities? We’re searching for a Full Stack Engineer to help support our multiple connected devices and expanding architecture. This person will support the overall development and implementation with a strong focus on back-end tasks (70% backend, 30% frontend). Reporting to our Technology Director, this role will work together on designing system architecture to high level programming, performance testing, and full system integration.
Although this role is based remotely, it will be expected to travel into the Muskegon, MI location once a month to meet with the team on key projects (30% travel). Preferred candidate would be local to Muskegon, MI but open to remote.
As a leader in the plumbing landscape, we currently offer three connected sump pump devices that alert our customers if there is a leak or issue with their sump pumps. Customers are able to download the Pumpspy app as well as have free 24/7 cloud-base monitoring as part of their purchase. Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- End-to-End Development: Lead the design, development, and deployment of IoT solutions, from sensor integration and data acquisition to backend processing and UI design.
- Performance Optimization: Enhance the real-time performance, reliability, and scalability of our IoT devices and systems.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Interface with product managers and hardware teams to refine product specifications and implement features as well as design software system architecture.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that all solutions adhere to industry standards of security, data protection, and privacy.
- Continuous Improvement: Research emerging IoT technologies, tools, and best practices to keep our products and systems innovative and competitive.
- Quality Assurance: Design and implement testing protocols to validate product functionality, reliability, and compatibility in diverse environments.
- Create clean, efficient, and well documented code that adheres to industry standards.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Collaborate with the cross functional teams to connect and deploy IOS and Android applications.
- Implement and maintain the repository for continuous team collaboration
- Travel 30% to Muskegon, MI to partner with team on key projects
