Position Overview
Are you a passionate and experienced software engineer looking to build cutting edge solutions in a fast-growing technology sector?
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our team in Sydney, Australia. Primary Responsibilities

  • Engineering ownership of product modules, components, and services.
  • Lead engineering design and implementation to deliver new innovations and solutions for our customers.
  • Maintain existing codebase and create new front and back end modules, components, and services.
  • Manage, deploy and maintain well orchestrated packages across several different environments so we can ship new code to production on a weekly basis.
  • Remain current with market developments and recommend new technologies.
  • Increase the quality of our code, and enhance development pipelines.
  • Work with developers, designers, QA, and product managers to improve the end to end product development process.

About you
You have a keen interest in building scalable and maintainable code to solve problems faced by businesses and its employees. You have a highly analytical mind that critically evaluates problems and solutions, as well as tools and technologies to assist in delivering product goals expediently and cost effectively. You are comfortable working independently and within a team, and seek to foster a culture of inclusion and constructive communication.
You must be legally entitled to work in Australia to apply for this position.

Key skills and experience:

  • 3 to 4 years experience in full-stack, test driven application development on Node.js.
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js and AJAX.
  • Experienced with React, but Ember.js / AngularJS / Vue.js experience is accepted.
  • A solid understanding of the “path to production” process i.e. build and deployment, with experience using CI/CD tooling e.g. CodePipeline / Jenkins / BuildKite / Bamboo, etc.
  • Github or Git.
  • Demonstrated ability for clear and frequent communication with local and remote teams.
  • Write clear, legible, secure and optimised code.
  • Confident in taking on a broad set of responsibilities including managing, deploying and maintaining well orchestrated services across several different environments.
  • Comfortable analysing business requirements.
  • Comfortable handling bugs and/or customer support.
  • Nice to have experience
  • Working in an AWS environment
  • OOP (e.g. Java / C#)
  • Strongly-typed languages (e.g. Typescript / Flow)
