Job Description – Full Stack DevOps Architect

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, VPC, Route 53, IAM) and understanding of AWS architectural best practices.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and database architecture within a cloud environment.
  • Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Java) and script languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available application solutions on AWS Cloud, considering cost optimization and operational excellence.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated code deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Utilize IaC tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources.
  • Ensure system security through the implementation of industry-standard security best practices and AWS security services.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to adopt DevOps practices, including integration of code quality checks, automated testing, and proactive monitoring into the development lifecycle.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance, ensuring efficient operation and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and operations teams in DevOps methodologies and AWS best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them to improve the development and deployment processes.
