What to Expect
The Chassis Controls team is looking for a Full Stack Rust Software Engineer. In this role you will architect and develop the next generation of async Rust Tokio based service backends and React/VueJS frontend applications used by all Tesla firmware Engineers. These software applications play a critical role in efficient vehicle FW functionality validation and support all current and future vehicle programs.
You will use your creativity to tackle some of the most challenging problems in the distributed software and constraints solvers space.
What You’ll Do
- Architecture and development of backend infrastructure services in async Rust Tokio
- Development of the web frontend in some of the popular frameworks as React or VueJS
- Architecture and development of software for big data synchronization, storage and retrieval
- Work with constraints solvers for large scale data optimization problems
- Develop automated tests to ensure high-quality software releases and accurate functionality
- Work closely with the engineering teams - the users of these applications
What You’ll Bring
- Ideal candidate will bring 1+ year experience in async Rust and 1+ year experience in web development (React/Vue or similar)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, equivalent in experience with evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of version control (Git)
- Familiarity with Google OR-Tools or similar constraints optimization toolbox
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or Docker containers

Expected Compensation
$104,000 - $348,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
