Reporting to Manager, Software Engineering the Full Stack .NET Software Engineer II will be supporting all phases of the SDLC for Availity’s AuthAI offering. We anticipate ~60% frontend development and ~40% backend development.

What you will be doing:

  • ~60% frontend development with Vue.js and ~40% backend development with C# .NET
  • Working with various cross functional teams to support Availity’s AuthAI product
  • Hosting and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Applying modern software architecture patterns (distributed systems, microservices, etc.)
  • Leveraging Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes/Openshift, or similar tools for delivery using CI/CD principles
  • Performing unit testing and complex debugging to ensure quality
  • Developing well-structured, reusable, maintainable, and intentionally designed code to address requirements and software standards
  • Appropriately applying the software development life cycle
  • Providing input on programming or development standards
  • Writing database queries and required table definition modifications
  • Actively participating in pair programming and code reviews
  • Analyzing existing programs and modifying the application code to create enhancements while accepting guidance of senior developers
  • Reviewing requirements and determining gaps or missing elements in system, process and/or functional requirements
  • Writing moderate level technical documentation and submitting for review by a senior developer
  • Implementing unit tests and performing appropriate debugging to ensure requirements are satisfied
  • Estimating work efforts in the backlog
  • Partnering with all stakeholders to identify potential slippage or inter-team dependencies

Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in relevant work experience
  • 4+ years of experience working in an Agile and/or iterative development environment
  • Experience with Vue.js
  • Experience with .NET and C# technologies
  • Analysis, Design and Development Skills
  • Experience with Object-Oriented design and development best practices
  • Professional experience in CSS, HTML, modern JavaScript frameworks in a production environment
  • Understanding of common development tooling (Git, Cloud environments, etc.)
  • Curious to learn different technologies and approaches
  • Understanding of and ability to develop APIs using REST, SOAP, GraphQL, etc.
  • Familiarity with multiple JavaScript frameworks is a plus
  • Healthcare domain experience is a plus
