TE WHIWHINGA MAHI | THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced, NZ Registered Physiotherapist to work in our dedicated Pelvic Health team across Greenlane Clinical Centre and Auckland City Hospital. This is a permanent, fulltime position (40 hours per week). This position involves the treatment of Urogynaecological and Gynaecological, Colorectal, Pelvic and Sexual Pain conditions as well as Male Urology and Maternity and Obstetric related dysfunctions.

  • Managing a clinical caseload providing comprehensive and evidence-based care to patients
  • Being prepared to take on delegated responsibilities from the practice supervisor as required
  • Pelvic health physiotherapists have a close relationship with many specialist services and multidisciplinary colleagues whom you will work alongside
  • Actively participate in quality improvement, staff and service development
  • Regardless of your experience, you will receive a thorough orientation and be well supported in your role

We are happy to consider applications from experienced physiotherapists in this area of expertise or those interested in upskilling, and can offer a great opportunity to learn from very experienced therapists. This role sits in the outpatient service and reports directly to the Clinical Lead – Physiotherapy.

As the ideal person for this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • New Zealand registration as a Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • 4+ years of clinical experience working experience with working in an outpatient setting advantageous
  • Excellent clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence informed practice
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary bicultural environment
  • Effective time management, prioritisation and organisation skills
  • A flexible, pro-active approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in a bicultural environment and knowledge of the acute hospital environment
