DESCRIPTION

• Duration: 6 months
• Open hourly rate
• French required
• Remote: Hybrid - 1 to 2 days/week in Montreal office
  We are looking for a Functional Analyst for our insurance client.

Your role

• Act as an expert IT analyst on technologies aligned with technology targets (API, Kafka, AWS, etc.)
• Understand and challenge business needs and convert them into functional requirements, while ensuring traceability of requirements.
• Within the framework of agile methodology, write detailed functional analyses (aligned with business needs and architecture solution), validate them with business partners, present them to developers and validate their proper implementation
• Ensure communication with business partners during the various development phases
• Advise partners by proposing alternative solutions, and explaining the advantages and disadvantages of existing systems
• Carry out functional tests and assist the test team in developing and carrying out acceptance tests for the solutions developed.
• Diagnose, implement, coordinate and resolve problems relating to the proper functioning of solutions
• Adapt to constantly evolving technologies, demonstrate curiosity and boldness in proposing new solution ideas
• Analyze impacts on the solution and suggest action plans for adjustments
• Master the technological ecosystem and understand its interrelationships.

Prerequisites

• Bachelor’s degree, industry-related, and five years’ relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience in business, functional, technical and application analysis in a complex organization
• Experience in Agile delivery
• Experience in producing detailed and relevant user stories as part of a project using Agile methodology
• Knowledge and practical experience of Agile development methodologies
• Knowledge and practical experience of quality assurance testing
• Experience in a banking environment desirable, Insurance an asset
• Thoroughness and great ability to take charge

• Team player, ability to positively influence and mobilize stakeholders
• Leadership, initiative, autonomy and communication skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
