RCGH CONSULTING (RETAIL, CONSUMER GOODS & HOSPITALITY)

Cognizant’s RCGH Consulting unit is seeking talented consultants with extensive domain experience coupled with consultative experience of executing large scale business change and IT solutions in the RCGH industries. The role provides an opportunity to join a rapidly growing, high energy and entrepreneurial team working with leading UK brand names.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Strong Domain experience in Consumer Goods Industry
  • A wide spectrum of understanding and good functional knowledge in Retail & Consumer Goods Domains and in-depth knowledge and experience in B2B Commerce, D2C Commerce or Sales & Marketing functions
  • Proven experience of leading projects or worked as Product Owner across omnichannel transformations, digital supply chain initiatives & contributed to ecomm strategies and development plans.
  • Experience working on engagements using Industry leading commerce applications include Shopify, Magento, etc.
  • Knowledge Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or other cloud-based content management systems
  • Experience in leading and managing workshops, senior stakeholder meetings and consensus building.
  • Building relationships between external partners and internal stakeholders to deliver project objectives.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies and ways of working
  • Ability to manage 10 or more people as part of a cross-functional team comprising of business analysts, developers, testers and other support functions.
  • Ability to manage timely and successful delivery of the project working with cross-functional teams to manage risks, and measure and report on progress.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

  • Agile PM/PO certification
  • Experience working on Target Operating model design

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

Functional Consultant will work with the stakeholders to define the functional requirements for Sales, Marketing and Ecommerce divisions. Your expertise in business analysis, e-commerce, and specific tools will drive successful client outcomes in the Consumer Goods sector.

ROLE BACKGROUND:

To support the engagement team delivering the most appropriate client solutions. Primary responsibilities are to logically organize concurrent deliverables with multiple deadlines, solve and structure client problems through data and root cause analysis leading to proposed recommendations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Advise clients on e-commerce strategies and develop implementation plans for e-commerce as well as sales & marketing platforms.
  • Conduct benchmarking exercises to assess program performance results and trends.
  • Create senior leadership presentations that highlight impacts and actions aligned with client savings objectives.
  • Review findings and trends with clients to secure client stakeholder buy-in.
  • Collaborate with client teams to implement necessary changes.
  • Identify cost-saving or growth opportunities and evaluate options.
  • Analyse existing processes and systems to recommend improvements.
  • Deliver key performance indicator (KPI) scorecards and optimisation reports.
  • Understand client priorities and service needs to build strategic relationships and actively support business development efforts.
  • Develop innovative proposals for new tools and systems to promote global scale, automation, efficiency, and significant business results.
  • Apply analytical techniques to understand client needs.
  • Participate in systems design and contribute to country-level rollout and implementation.
  • Gather requirements, conduct gap analysis, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and propose solutions to define project scope.
  • Leverage Magento and Adobe Experience Manager for client projects, customising and optimising these platforms based on client requirements.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the CPG industry, including supply chain, distribution, retail operations, and industry-specific challenges. Additionally, provide insights on tobacco products, regulations, compliance, marketing, and distribution.
  • Utilise HubSpot for client relationship management, implementing CRM strategies, tracking leads, and managing customer interactions.
  • Understand Shopify’s e-commerce platform and assist clients in setting up and optimising the platform.
  • Harmonise solutions across geos where there are consistent commerce behaviours and identify critical exceptions.
  • Create & capture category thought leadership and share with the wider Cognizant / Client organisation communities.
