Currently ManTech is seeking a Functional Expert Consultant III (Defense Industrial Base) to join our team supporting our growing Defense Sector and Marine Corps programs.

EXPERIENCE:

  • More than 12 years of experience in a scientific filed focusing on applied scientific research and research and development.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM field. Master’s degree in STEM field preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of detailed technical studies, conducting analysis of current and future requirements relating to design, all phases of testing and fielding, mission effectiveness, and risk assessment.
  • Research and analysis to identify policies and strategies that enhance research and development leverage existing DoD authorities.
  • Develop and understand Defense Industrial Based techniques and strategies leading to new solutions.
  • Identify and leverage modern, digital tools for analysis.
  • Discover opportunities and develop recommendations to commercialize R&D efforts.
  • Research opportunities and develop recommendations to scale emerging technologies in security program applications and to rapidly transition emerging technologies.
  • Conducts implementation, transition, integration, and deployment of Government approved changes.
  • Supports concept, policy, and doctrine development.
  • Provides the potential strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of participation in, experiments, and working groups as it relates to organizational goals.
  • Maintain awareness and provide feedback of developments throughout specified life cycles to improve qualitatively and quantitively how information is integrated.
  • Provide feedback in the form of trip reports, meeting notes, read-outs, etc. following engagements for review by Branch leadership.
