The key purpose of this Functional Safety Consultant role is to take the lead on functional safety work and process safety consulting work.

You will be involved in:

• Leading functional safety specifications, design, and verification activities
• Performing functional safety assessments
• Developing functional safety management plans
• Undertaking IEC61511 audit compliance
• Undertaking process safety reviews and audits
• Leading safety management system development
• Reviewing Safety reports (HAZOPs, LOPAs etc)
• Mentoring graduates and junior engineers

To be successful in the role you will be:

• A Tertiary qualified engineer
• Functional Safety Engineer certified (TUV or CFSE)
• Experienced to a senior level with functional safety within process industries
• Strong understanding of Safety Instrumental Systems and their configuration
• Experienced with process safety engineering – investigations, audits and process improvements.
• Confident working with clients and delivering their safety needs
