Description:
Overview:
We are hiring a Functional Safety Engineer and you’ll play a key role conducting functional safety analysis and planning to ensure our positioning products are in compliance at Hexagon Autonomy & Positioning. You will work closely with our Functional Safety and Product Cybersecurity Manager and collaborate with our highly skilled autonomous team to develop positioning products. The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We offer a hybrid work environment and for the right person, we will consider home based work in Canada, USA, and Europe.
Responsibilities:
As Functional Safety Engineer, you will:
- Develop functional safety plans for product development and work with process owners to address functional safety and process requirements
- Create safety concepts and related documentation
- Perform safety analysis and metrics calculations
- Review and approve work products from a functional safety perspective
- Conduct product functional safety audits and assessments and support third party audits and assessments
