The Functional Support Analyst is a vital member of a team tasked with upkeeping and supporting the fundamental features of the Oracle Health EMR system, BOSSnet system, and additional clinical systems. This role is one that will draw upon your extensive experience in healthcare and Oracle Health EMR build to respond to incidents and ongoing problems in a timely manner.
Specifically, the Functional Support Analyst will be responsible for actioning and reporting on Cherwell tickets raised by the users of the clinical systems, handling tickets raised to vendor service desks, testing and release management of patches and upgrades and all core activity required to maintain and enhance the system.
Some of the key areas of responsibility within the Oracle Health EMR, Core and Security, System Integration and interfaces (HL7), Position design and provisioning, Assisting with development of clinical documentation forms and templates, Clinical reporting and Management of code sets and event set hierarchy.

Responsibilities:

  • Have a minimum 2 year’s experience as an information technology, support/system admin or health information manager focussing on computerised workflows, documentation, system design and maintenance
  • Be self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a complex team environment; collaborate with external and internal stakeholders with varying levels of experience and expertise
  • Have a willingness and level of comfort to engage with clinical users to elicit information and assist with troubleshooting issues
  • Show high level of attention to detail and an ability to proactively identify gaps in information and system configuration to mitigate downstream impacts and issues
