POSITION SUMMARY

The Functional Test Lead is a member of the Delivery & Support Group – Quality Assurance team in NETS Solutions and reports to the Project Manager or Test Manager.
In this role, you will lead a team of testers and oversee testing activities. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, define testing objectives and scope, delegate tasks, and ensure a standardized and disciplined approach to testing.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing test design, leading the time to execute tests, log defects, and provide clear analysis to developers. You will also develop and enforce testing processes, monitor progress and quality, and provide regular updates to the reporting manager. Your expertise in improving testing work and ensuring quality software releases will be invaluable. REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent education and/or experience
• Minimum 5 years of related working experience, preferably in IT and financial industry
• Proficient in JIRA and other defect Management tools
• Proficient in the drafting of test plans, test cases, test execution and test reporting
• Have an understanding of how financial transaction systems workflows are implemented and how different systems are integrated together
• Ability to generate standard testing deliverables and set standards for the team to follow
• Database understanding and query skills
• Demonstrate good analytical and problem solving skills, with ability to make quick and sound decisions
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good team player
• Providing guidiance to team members and reviews on test deliverables (e.g. test cases, test result, etc.)
• Ability to estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Functional testing experience in banking domain, preferably in payment application will be an advantage

• Lead a testing a team of 5 to 10 functional testers to carry out testing activities to ensure quality for a software development project.
• Oversee the testing team’s activities and ensure collaboration and coordination. Provide support to internal and external parties during the various testing stages.
• Define the objectives and scope of testing and ensure that this is well understood by the testers, developers, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Delegate testing tasks and balance the workload across the team.
• Collaborate with other project members, such as developers, business analysts, system engineers, architects, project managers to achieve the project goal.
• Develop and maintain the test strategy / plan (in collaboration with project management) and be able to articulate this to the internal team, external users, customers, other vendors.
• Adapt the test plan and compensate as needed to adjust to evolving project conditions.
• Continuously analyze testing processes and ensure that the testing team is carrying out all processes correctly.
• Develop processes, SOPs, guidelines, testing document templates to drive a standardized and disciplined approach towards testing.
• Review test design deliverables and ensure that test cases are FSD led, logical, effective, and complete.
• Perform test execution according to the requirements specifications and ensure that all test incidents are properly logged.
• Opening Defects: Ensure that useful analysis is provided together with replication steps so that the developers can act on it with minimal ambiguity.
• Closing Defects: Review test artifacts to ensure that they are coherent, provides assurance that the issue is addressed and that they can withstand scrutiny of the end-customer.
• Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for testing as per standards defined by the organization.
• Track and ensure proper closure of issues identified during testing.
• Monitor, measure, control, and report on the test progress, product quality status, and test results.
• Provide regular updates to reporting manager on status of testing activities, assignments and matters arising.
• Provide necessary support in project planning and scheduling to ensure successful project completion within specified budget limits.
• Suggest, introduce, and implement various tools to improve testing workConduct retrospective or lessons learned meetings to discuss what happened and identify areas for improvement.
