FUNCTIONS OFFICER

  • Up to $85,385.98 p.a. total salary package ($72,436.06 - $77,272.38 + 11% super)*

Responsibilities:

AS PART OF THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE…

  • Supporting the Senior Functions Officer in managing facility and hospitality services for kitchenettes, internal meetings and Civic functions, including Council Meetings and Citizenship Ceremonies.
  • Providing facilities support for external functions, events, and meetings.
  • Assessing function requirements and set up meeting and function rooms with furniture, audiovisual equipment, and catering necessities.
  • Providing operational support for audiovisual equipment during functions and events.
  • Monitoring, ordering, and managing stock for food, beverages, and cleaning supplies, ensuring storerooms are organised.
  • Providing minor housekeeping services to maintain the professional presentation of meeting rooms and kitchen areas.
  • Responding to sensitive and confidential customer requests promptly and effectively, ensuring timely solutions for citizenship enquiries.
  • Administering records for Australian Citizenship ceremonies and coordinate monthly ceremonies as needed.
  • Undertaking duties as a First Aid Officer and Floor Warden for emergencies, ensuring the safety of all individuals.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL POSSESS:

  • Essential: Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Essential: Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.
  • Essential: Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • White Card or ability to obtain.
  • Demonstrated experience in a hospitality environment.
  • Experience in the application of hospitality principles and protocols.
  • Effective communications skills including; negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
