Salary: Competitive and based on experience Location: Singapore An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and detail-oriented Fund Operations Associate to join a global quantitative investment manager.
This role is based in Singapore, where you will be reporting to the APAC Head of Operations. You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of APAC operations, making this role perfect for someone who thrives on variety and challenge. Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Fund Operations Associate, your role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth operations within the company. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing trade bookings, acting as a focal point for resolution and operational issues, liaising with various stakeholders, and participating in deep dive calls to resolve outstanding issues. Your meticulous attention to detail will be crucial in reviewing daily cash, transactions, and position reconciliations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your skills in a dynamic environment that values innovation and collaboration.
- Conduct daily reconciliation reviews for cash, transactions, and positions for the fund
- Manage trade bookings and end-to-end trade lifecycle for the fund’s positions
- Act as point of contact for resolutions and issues for internal stakeholders
- Liaise externally with fund administrators, execution brokerages, and prime brokerages
- Participate actively in regular deep-dive calls with the fund administrators to resolve any outstanding breaks
The ideal candidate for the Fund Operations Associate role brings a wealth of experience from the finance industry along with a degree in Engineering or Finance. Your previous experience on the buy side will be highly beneficial. You possess excellent product knowledge across various financial instruments including Bonds, IRS, FX, Options, Equities, Futures. Your ability to improve processes to reduce errors and increase efficiency sets you apart. Above all else, your self-motivation, positive mindset and excellent communication skills make you an ideal fit for this role.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Engineering, etc.
- Between 2 and 5 years of relevant experience, with direct buy side experience an added advantage
- Demonstrable product knowledge on Fixed Income, Equities, and/or Derivatives
- Prior experience with process improvement, identifying potential inefficiencies in day-to-day tasks
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skill
