Are you a motivated and ambitious Year 12 or S5 student, interested in a career in accountancy and want to learn through experience?
Discover your future career choices, learn more about our profession and enhance your employability skills as part of the Mazars four-day work experience programme.
About the opportunity
This work experience is designed to provide you with a real insight into working at an accounting and professional services firm.

You will get the opportunity to:

  • Take part in virtual workshops focusing on different types of career opportunities available within our industry – including networking with Mazars employees.
  • Work on an interactive group case study throughout the week.
  • Work shadow across several departments providing the opportunity to gain an understanding of the different areas of our business.
  • Take part in interactive virtual employability sessions including application, interview, and presentation skills training.
  • Apply to one of our September 2025 school leaver apprenticeship roles.

Access Accountancy will commence from Monday 8th April to Thursday 11th April 2024.

ABOUT YOU

In line with our commitment to improve access to our profession to those from all backgrounds, Mazars is proud to be a signatory of Access Accountancy and this work experience programme is targeted towards students from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.

We are looking for exceptional candidates to join our team, who are:

  • Completing their AS/A Levels, BTEC or equivalent qualification in England and Highers/Advanced Highers students in Scotland
  • Meet the following criteria:
  • Attend a state school or college and;
  • The occupation of your main household earner when you were aged 14 is categorised as a lower socio-economic background or;
  • Are/have been eligible for free school meals or;
  • Attend a school that is above the regional average in terms of the number of students eligible for free school meals or;
  • Would be the first member of your immediate family to attend university.
  • Ambitious and motivated to join the world of work.
  • Looking for a valuable work experience placement that could help you secure an apprenticeship.
  • Interested in a career in accountancy/professional services and keen to improve your employability skills.

We will provide IT equipment during your time with us alongside lunch and travel expenses.
Please note we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for our Access Accountancy programme.
