Description:
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors, providing information about current and upcoming exhibitions, artists, and gallery events.
- Assist with the installation and deinstallation of exhibitions, including handling and preparing artwork as directed.
- Process sales transactions for artwork.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of gallery spaces, including galleries, reception areas, and storage areas.
- Support marketing and promotional efforts by distributing materials and assisting with social media updates as needed.
- Assist with event coordination and execution, including openings, workshops, and private viewings.
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, arranging appointments, meetings, and conference calls.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare itineraries as needed.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Monitor and order galley supplies and maintain inventory.
- Provide general administrative support to remote team members as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Gallery Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Virtual Assistant, or similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote work environment.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
- Experience with calendar management and travel coordination preferred
