Mitre 10 MEGA Invercargill is seeking someone who can lead and guide the Garden Team to excellence in customer service while creating a team culture that encourages a positive working environment.
Leading this department is a busy hands-on role that involves stock management and the sale of garden products, providing technical garden related advice and also taking responsibility for general merchandising and standards within the Garden Department. To achieve success, you will be a highly motivated individual who has ideally an understanding of Garden Green and Dry Goods and experience in managing direct reports and teams.
This role is 43 hours per week, and the roster pattern will include weekdays and one day of the weekend.

FOR THIS POSITION WE ARE SEEKING CANDIDATES THAT DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING CAPABILITIES:

• A passion for customer-obsessed service
• Proven experience in leading and managing teams
• Solid knowledge of green garden goods, garden hardware and associated products
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied and busy workload
• General computer skills
• Physically fit as there will be a level of lifting and manual handling, ladder use and walking/standing on concrete floors
