Description:

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Garment Developer (f/m/d) to join our GOREWEAR Product Team in Feldkirchen-Westerham, Germany. You will help our team create endurance products that provide best experience to our cycling and running consumers. In this challenging role you will partner closely with our product managers, designers, technology experts, sourcing managers and manufacturing partners to ensure our products do what we say they will do throughout the entire product lifecycle.
This position is a temporary role for 24 months.
The position will be located at our facility in Feldkirchen-Westerham, Bavaria, with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Garment Engineering, Textile Management and Technology or similar
  • Minimum 3 years experience of product development, ideally with a focus on premium cycling, running or outdoor garments
  • Profound knowledge of garment development principles and practices
  • Problem solver mentality with very good analytical and listening skills
  • Curiosity about technologies, self-motivated and a passion for understanding and improving technical endurance gear and layering systems
  • Team-player qualities combined with the all-important ability to convince others of new ideas
  • Ability to set project timelines or work within given timelines
  • A background of working in an international environment
  • Excellent English skills, any another language would be an asset
  • Ability to travel ~20% of the time

Responsibilities:

  • Drive our new product developments across all gear types and optimize product designs in material and trim use, fit and patterns, long lasting workmanship and construction methods towards the intended end use, always striving for product leadership
  • Continuous improvement of products throughout the entire lifecycle of the product
  • Understand the intended end use as well as targeted consumer
  • Drive sustainable product development by actively partnering with design, sourcing, technology and factory teams
  • Ensure the Fitness For Use for products with a specific focus on construction, fit and workmanship
  • Meet profitability targets provided by Product Management
  • Ensure delivery on time for Sales Men Samples and Bulk Production Releases
  • Own data management and integrity within our PLM System for your responsible products
