Description:

GAS QUALITY TECHNICIAN - BACTON - £41,265 TO £48,547

Are you a multi-skilled problem solver who people can count on? If so, we’re looking for a co-worker like you!
As a Gas Quality Technician, you will be responsible for minimising the downtime of the gas analysers and associated systems that allow the business to comply with our regulations.
You will be responsible for preforming analyser calibrations and preventive maintenance. You will also manage firewall and switch configurations whilst submitting routine maintenance reports to Engineering and Asset Management for approval.
As part of a wider team within Operations, you will work together to collectively resolve issues that have been identified through audits findings.
Our regulatory body (Ofgem) conduct audit visits to inspect our gas quality system configurations and you’ll be onsite with take them around.
It’s a fantastic time to join as you will have a significant contribution to the creation of routine maintenance work procedures for legacy and future gas quality systems.
To be successful in this role you will come from an Electrical and / or Instrumentation engineering background having served as an apprentice. Gas industry experience is advantageous, but we recognise the vast skillsets in other sectors as well.
Whilst you don’t need any specific Gas Quality qualifications, you will have strong desire to take your next career step in this direction. Speaking of qualifications, we’ll invest a significant amount of time as well as a five-figure budget in ensuring you are set up for success in this role.
