Description:
As a GCP DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines on the Google Cloud Platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and reliable deployment, monitoring, and management of cloud applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure on GCP using services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, and more.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and release management of cloud applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure application scalability, reliability, and performance on the cloud platform.
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and availability of cloud services.
- Continuously improve DevOps processes and practices, implementing industry best practices and leveraging GCP native tools and services.
- Provide technical guidance and support to teams for efficient utilization of GCP DevOps tools and services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience as a DevOps Engineer, with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
- In-depth knowledge of GCP services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, and related technologies.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, or ELK stack.
- Excellent scripting skills in languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
