Description:

If you’re interested in handling matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), this reputable business might have the Accountant role for you. This permanent role is for an Accountant in the Woodbridge, Ontario, area. Responsibilities

  • Complete other related duties and assist with special projects as needed
  • Resolve discrepancies, and create correction documents if needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts
  • Help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other general accounting projects
  • Use a variety of sources to prepare statements and reports
  • Classify documents with the proper expenditure codes and accounting codes
  • Post financial information to journals and ledgers
  • Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
  • Support Accounts Receivable by processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and helping with collection of past due balances
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting cycle
  • Proficiency in month end closings
  • Full Cycle Accounting experience preferred
  • Adeptness in Accounting close process
  • SAP experience highly desired
  • Full Cycle experience
  • Foundational knowledge in HST
  • Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
  • Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of accounting experience required
