Description:

Support to the Senior Administrator when required with inputting annual leave, sickness records, TOIL and overtime claims in a timely manner onto Healthroster. Ability to step into the role of Senior Administrator during periods of absence from substantive postholder. To provide accurate and timely administrative and secretarial support to the Clinical Lead Blood Sciences with regard to clinic preparation, booking of appointments and cashing-up. To provide general administrative support to the Senior BMS Team Blood Sciences To provide administrative and secretarial support to and oversee the production of the agenda, minutes and matters arising for the Blood Sciences Team Briefs and the Blood Sciences BCI meetings.
To provide administrative support with regard to procurement contracts under the directive of the Head of Department Blood Sciences and Service Manager. To provide administrative support regarding monitoring and updating SOPs To provide administrative support to the Head of Blood Sciences with regard to the checking and accuracy of invoices received To monitor and oversee progress with regard to all appraisals within the Department of Blood Science, ensuring compliance. To provide administrative support and guidance with regard to overseeing travel arrangements, accommodation bookings and reimbursement matters for members of staff within Blood Sciences To work closely with the Senior Administrator Blood Sciences and ensure that the Departmental telephone is answered at all times and support the system in place to enable all queries to be actioned and calls redirected as appropriate. To manage all post into and out of the Pathology Department and act as the first point of contact in the event of a query.
To provide administrative support for ordering of consumables within the Department of Blood Sciences. Track financial expenditure and advise the HOD accordingly if there are matters of concerns. Responsibility for ensuring all Blood Sciences whiteboards and noticeboards are up to date and professional in appearance
