ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded General Counsel to join our team. The General Counsel is leading the Legal and Insurance department and matters in the Blue Power Partners group and will play a strategically important role in our company. You will be working closely together with our executive leadership team, providing expert legal guidance and leadership to support our business objectives while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to senior management, other group functions, colleagues, and other relevant stakeholders on a wide range of legal matters impacting the company’s operations, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and litigation management.
  • Review and advise on development agreements, PPA- and offtake agreements as well as handling company structuring.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of complex agreements, including commercial contracts, partnership agreements, including management of concluded agreements.
  • Manage the group’s documents, including maintenance of paradigms, company documents, and concluded agreements.
  • Manage, review, and negotiate all insurance agreements and matters of the group.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other advisors, including ensuring cost-effective delivery of legal services.
  • Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company’s operations and proactively advise management on potential implications.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote compliance with applicable laws and regulations across the organization globally, including control and audit of compliance in the group.
    You will report to our CEO and your daily work will be performed from our office in Aalborg (HQ). As we are operating globally, this position may require a flexible attitude from time to time.
