POSITION OVERVIEW
Calian Health Services is currently seeking a General Dentist for a full-time position at CFB Kingson. The General Dentist will provide comprehensive oral care to members of the Canadian Armed Forces as part of the dental healthcare delivery team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a Doctoral Degree in Dental Surgery or Dental Medicine from an accredited Canadian or American dental school.
- Must be licensed in Good Standing to practice as a Dentist with the RCDSO.
- Must have (or be able to obtain) CPR Level C / AED certification.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Candidates must be eligible to obtain (and maintain) a Reliability level Government Security clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide dental examination, diagnosis, intervention, and management of the full spectrum of dental conditions of the oral-facial complex and anatomical structures.
- Manage overall / general oral health needs, including but not limited to disease prevention and patient education.
- Develop care plans with the patient as well as the larger, multi-disciplinary health care team to address patient’s oral health care.
- Perform therapeutic procedures in fixed and removable prosthodontics, operative dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, preventative dentistry, orthodontics, and oro-facial pain management.
- Provide administrative support, including but not limited to updating patient databases, specialist referrals, and maintenance of patient records.
- Other associated tasks relevant to this occupational group.
