The Opportunity
Deveraux Developments is seeking a General Foreperson to join our expanding team in Edmonton. What you bring…

• Proven experience as construction foreman
• High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter etc.)
• Experience in multi-family wood frame construction is an asset
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building code and construction best practices
• Familiarity with safe work procedures, safety regulations, valid first aid ticket an asset
• Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong ability to be proactive; and understand the importance of attention to detail and quality control
• Problem solver with a can-do attitude
• A Passion for construction
• Procore software experience would be an asset
• Ability to communicate and report effectively
• Aptitude in math
• Good physical condition and stamina

• Work with the project team to problem solve on site issues.
• Assume a leadership role and provide guidance to project team members
• Demonstrate confidence in own ability to intelligently communicate with team/client as well as effectively lead the trades
• Assess problems & manage conflict by effectively dealing with issues in a professional manner
• Proactively seek solutions and escalate issues when needed
• Be a pro-active self-starter with the ability to think ahead and plan work accordingly
• Demonstrate leadership in health and safety
• Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
• Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
• Report on progress to managers
