General Ledger Analyst

We are seeking a meticulous Staff Accountant for our Manufacturing team based in Washington. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for general ledger accounting tasks, including balance sheet reviews, trend analysis, and other related duties. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity, providing a hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

• Conduct thorough balance sheet reviews to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Perform trend analysis to identify potential areas of improvements.
• Execute general ledger accounting tasks, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and to maintain financial records.
• Carry out variance analysis to identify discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure all financial deadlines are met.
• Manage and resolve any accounting issues or inquiries from stakeholders.
• Continuously update skills in data analysis, variance analysis, and balance sheet reviews.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Skilled in Data Analysis
• Experienced in Variance Analysis
• Capable of performing Trend Analysis
• Ability to conduct Balance Sheet Reviews
• Possess a degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role within the Manufacturing industry
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of accounting
• Ability to work under general supervision and effectively manage multiple tasks
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with various departments.
