In your role as a General Ledger Senior Analyst:

Process Ownership

  • You will support the General Ledger Team Lead / General Ledger Function Lead with day-to-day operations, you will be responsible for Process Management related activities such as proposing, implementing, monitoring and reporting KPIs and internal controls.
  • You will work in a team of domain experts, in which your tasks include, clarification of accounting issues, analysis of errors, initiation of any vital corrections and involvement in process improvement activities or initiatives, if needed with support from the General Ledger Principal Analyst/Team Lead.
  • You will take ownership of daily General Ledger transactions and month-end-closing activities and ensure they are recorded in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP quality standards or any other relevant regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • The periodic financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements) in accordance with IFRS, taking into account internal guidelines in various and complex IT systems, adhering to deadlines
  • Perform Month End activities and reconciliations of accounts
  • Assisting with implementing and documenting new processes and procedures
  • General housekeeping of General Ledger accounts
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Posting of accruals, provisions, and further relevant GL items
  • Ensuring stability in monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities, actively providing support to General Ledger team members as a domain specialist.
  • Querying various process related sets of data from multiple sources, through applying technical expertise to extract, compile, analyze and report those optimally.
  • You assist with ad-hoc duties required by management to meet the needs of the business.
  • Working independently, proactively supporting the General Ledger team members providing feedback for more sophisticated issues to the Principal Analyst / Team Lead.
  • You will be responsible for internal controls in General Ledger accounting, also participating in internal and external audit process by providing timely and qualitative information and resolve queries from the auditors (where applicable for the assigned countries/legal entities)
  • You implement and continuously update DTP (Desktop Procedure) documentation for existing and are involved in the creation of DTPs for new processes/variances.
  • You are actively involved in finance transformation projects, handling multiple activities through effective prioritization and time management skills. You will also support projects related to General Ledger, Mergers and Acquisitions and ERP migration projects, among others.
  • Contributing and engaging in standardizing and automating our workflows and General Ledger processes and our cross-functional processes throughout the company
