Contract: Permanent, Full-time
The purpose of this role is to provide a multi-disciplined general maintenance service as part of a small team, primarily focusing on planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance and repair of our housing stock within Cork, with occasional work in Kerry (mileage covered). Responsibilities include performing various maintenance tasks both inside and outside our properties, such as basic electrical checks, plumbing, plastering, carpentry, upkeep of grounds, meter readings, lock changes, property clear-outs, painting or similar. No plumbing or electrical work is required, only the reporting of issues that need to be addressed.

Responsibilities:

Complete multi-disciplined types of maintenance both inside and outside our properties such as, basic electrical checks, plumbing, plastering, carpentry, upkeep of grounds, meter readings, lock changes, clear out of properties and painting.
Comply with the maintaining and delivery of maintenance schedules.
Oversee all maintenance activities carried out by other external contractors.
Work effectively as a member of a small team and exercise a good level of initiative and independence.
Ensure that works are carried out in a manner that is safe to yourself and others.
Undertake duties reasonably assigned from time to time in consultation with the Team Leader.
Draw up and oversee the implementation of daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedules/ fire checks for Communal Areas.
Have access to their own vehicle for the purposes of carrying out scheduled repairs and maintenance as and when required.
Ensure all hand and power tools used by the maintenance team comply with all relevant Health and Safety regulations and are stored in a safe and tidy manner.
Engage in supervision sessions on a regular basis with the Team Leader.
Participate in relevant training and development courses as agreed with your Team Leader.
Be vigilant to any Health, Safety and Welfare risks in the workplace and bring any concerns to the attention of your line manager or Health & Safety Representative.
