Description:

Our client manufactures custom accessories for motorcycles and sells through eCommerce and distributors. They are looking for a General Manager to oversee all staff (under 50 employees), budgets and production of the operation in Rossville, TN. The operation is first shift only.
The General Manager, reporting to the President and Owner, is involved in all parts of the operation, as it is a small staff. HR, accounting, production, environmental and safety are just a few areas over which this person has ultimate responsibility. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker while ensuring profits are on the rise.
Ultimately, you help the company grow and thrive.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Proven experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager or similar role
  • Experience in planning and budgeting
  • Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
  • Strong analytical ability, detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • BSc/BA in Business or relevant field
  • Strong computer and systems knowledge

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations

  • Manage bank relationships
  • Interface with Avalara on state sales tax for eCommerce
  • Complete 5500s
  • Set policies and processes
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
  • Recruit and oversee training of new employees
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
  • Responsible for employee assessments
  • Prepare regular reports for upper management
  • Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
  • Handle environmental regulatory requirements
