SALARY: £45,000 BASIC + BONUS OTE £80,000

Job Description:
Our client, a leading home and garden retailer, is looking for a General Manager to lead their Milton Keynes location. The General Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of the store, ensuring excellent customer service, maximizing sales, and managing the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures, merchandising, and inventory management
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of sales associates to ensure they are providing exceptional customer service and achieving sales targets
  • Analyze sales data to identify opportunities to increase revenue and implement strategies to achieve sales goals
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations
  • Build relationships with customers and actively seek out opportunities to enhance the customer experience
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date with industry trends
  • Work closely with the regional management team to develop and implement store-specific strategies

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Store Manager or similar role in a retail environment
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop effective sales strategies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising
  • A passion for providing exceptional customer service
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
