Description:

An exciting opportunity exists for a General Manager to demonstrate accountability for effective strategic and operational leadership and management for the medical, nursing and health professionals within Clinical Services, Sunshine Coast University Hospital. The role works collaboratively with executive and clinical leadership team members, across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service to fulfil the accountabilities in accordance with SCHHS vision, values, and strategic direction and engages with other internal and external partners to build relationships.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north. Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a collaborative partner with the Hospital and Health Service Executive in the planning and delivery of health services with the associated budgetary accountabilities.
  • Responsible for the leadership, governance, operational and performance management of clinical services and provide timely and accurate reporting with a focus on KPI’s and outcomes for SCUH.
  • Drive the key strategic framework, policies and processes necessary to ensure that budget management, financial policy, systems and controls are met to ensure operational performance.
  • Provide high level advice to the Chief Operating Officer, Health Service Chief Executive and the Hospital and Health Board on major operational issues and report on performance results as required.
    Total Remuneration comprising salary between $271 332 - $281 240 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HES3 (L)) (Contract Full time position,76 hrs p.f for 3 years).
