Responsibilities:

As General Manager, MENA, for our Global Emerging Markets (GEM) business unit you will be the regional commercial leader for Convatec’s businesses with full accountability of driving sustainable long-term topline and market share growth, and profitability in line with Convatec’s global strategy. As member of the GEM leadership team, you will be responsible for setting the regional business strategy, optimizing resource allocation, driving the development of critical competitive capabilities, and overseeing financial stewardship to achieve accelerated growth.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive market analysis, identifying key growth opportunities and emerging trends in the region
  • Developing a category growth strategy and vision to maximise revenue
  • Mapping key accounts and segmentation to formulate optimal route to market model
  • Developing a network of KOL’s to leverage their expertise for product evaluations, training programs, regional workshops and clinical research initiatives
  • Designing Professional Education in alignment with overall market development objectives
  • Developing comprehensive marketing campaigns to driving key marketing objectives
  • Proactively lead business development planning process that creates mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with productive distributor relationships
  • Providing sales and marketing tools and support along with product training to distributors to enable high performance
  • Reviewing distributor performance and compliance including market, sales marketing and SFE.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to incorporate and leverage strategies to accelerate business performance while ensuring compliance to corporate policies and standards, and external laws and regulations
  • Driving excellence in the execution of new product launches and establish strong governance to ensure effective and efficient implementation of plans
