Who we`re looking for
“General Manager- Disability Services” to drive the business growth of Home Instead’s disability Services across Ireland.
The GM- Disability Services is responsible for successfully directing and coordinating disability sales activities across the network for growth and development of publicly and privately funded disability client revenue.

A successful candidate will have the following Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a business background within the Homecare/Nursing Homes or Social Care sectors, particularly in Disability Services, will be preferred.
  • Ability to establish collaborative working relationships with management, colleagues, franchise owners, GM’s and their staffs.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills essential as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize daily, monthly, and yearly work.
  • Ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional office setting.
  • Ability to oversee projects from beginning to end, including incorporation of new ideas and best practices and evaluation of processes and procedures in order to recommend improvements and changes when appropriate.
  • Understand and uphold the policies and procedures established by Home Instead and the related role.

What you`ll do

  • Develop and implement disability services strategy to meet national disability service revenue and ebita targets
  • Understand and track revenue/ebita for all existing Home Instead disability service models
  • Develop business cases for different disability service models
  • Lead and support development and implementation of learning and development plan for disability service CAREGivers, and care managers.
  • Build a team that is fit for purpose and effectively manage a group of direct reports
  • Lead and support development and implementation of care planning tools, risk assessments and IT support required to deliver disability services
  • Lead and support development and implementation of networking skillset required by GMS to avail of disability opportunities
  • Working with Head of Marketing, build and deliver disability service materials for use by key players.
  • Perform any and all other functions and responsibilities deemed necessary for the developing and implementing disability services.
  • Develop and manage the annual disability services plan.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget with DCO to deliver annual disability services plan.
  • Manage key accounts alongside RMS delivering disability services business, including not for profits.
  • Manage relations with key referral providers such as National and regional HSE opinion leaders.
  • Develop and deliver national disability services networking plan.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are implemented and communicated to all employees.
  • Maintain and establish strong relationships with franchise owners.
  • Maintain and establish strong relationships with the Home Instead, National Office team for support on various operational activities.
  • Develop and manage all critical numbers of the business (Key Performance Indicator/Operations scorecard) and report each month to Home Instead Corporate offices and National Office.
  • Develop as required disability service strategies to launch new disability care solutions.
