The PropertyThe riverside Hilton Liverpool City Centre hotel is built on the site of the Old Customs House, offering 221 rooms with stunning views of the docks. Guests can enjoy a 24-hour fitness center, a bar with a seasonal terrace, service from the 24-hour front desk, room service, and concierge. Within a 10-minute walk, guests can reach the Royal Albert Dock, The Beatles Story, and Liverpool ONE, while a 15-minute walk leads to the World Museum, Anfield, and Liverpool Central Station.
The RoleThis exciting General Manager position will be responsible for managing the hotel, Hotel Management team, and hotel targets to deliver an excellent Guest and Team Member experience while managing profitability and meeting our Owners expectations.

Responsibilities:

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Manage and lead the hotel operation
  • Manage ongoing profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue, guest satisfaction and Team Member engagement goals are met and exceeded
  • Lead in all key property issues including capital projects, customer service, and refurbishment
  • Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotel and Hilton
  • Deliver achievable hotel budgets, and set other short- and long- term strategic goals for the property
  • Provide exceptional leadership to hotel Team Members focusing on Hilton culture and values
  • Lead in all aspects of business planning
  • Comply with and exceed Hilton Brand Service Standards
  • Ensure costs are controlled
  • Manage and develop the Hotel Executive team to ensure career progression and effective succession planning within Hilton
  • Hold regular briefings and communication meetings with the HOD team
  • Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieve

A General Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • An Established GM with experience in a major regional city.
  • Strong operational knowledge from a people/leadership perspective - the GM needs to be “present” and lead from the front.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and foster networks and relationships, with owners, contractors, and corporates - must be highly visible.
  • Passion for networking, being highly visible to foster networks and relationships
  • Develop and deliver innovative commercial and operational strategy and increase profitability
  • Exceptional people leadership and retention of talent with the ability to bring a team together on a journey and instilling the Hilton culture, values, and vision.
  • Exceptional stakeholder/owner relations experience
  • Ability to show resilience, judgement and leadership
  • Experience managing budgets, revenue proposals, and forecasting results in a similar sized property
  • Experienced in C&E and late night venues
  • In-depth knowledge of the hotel/leisure/service sector
  • Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
  • English language mandatory
